Should I Use Dumbbells For P90X?

If you have been doing any kind of working out or training over your lifetime you have probably came across a set of dumbbells. There are very few exercises that cannot be incorporated without a dumbbell. They might be one of the best pieces of workout equipment in a gym because they provide a large amount of resistance to challenge your muscles.

The one thing that about dumbbells is that they always seem to be getting in the way. They are every where and sometimes can be quite a distraction when people lay them around and do not put them back. It has become so common now that gyms are putting up signs to remind people to put away the weights they used.

What about if you workout at home? It is a big decision to make when picking a set of dumbbells for your home. Then you think back to seeing those racks full of weights and wonder where you are going to put it. With weights ranging from 5 pounds to 100 it can take up quite a bit of space. You still want to buy it but the thought of having a big piece of metal holding weights taking up a lot of space in your room is not something you like.

There is a way. The Bowflex Selecttech Dumbbell was created to finally get rid of the issue of having a bunch of weights hanging out on a stand taking up space. How it works is the weights slide in and out of a locking mechanism with a simple turn of a knob on the handle. With a couple clicks you can go from 2 pounds to 55 pounds. Working out at home can be fun again. There is no cleaning up a bunch of weights after finishing as it goes right back onto a moveable stand.

The Bowflex Selecttech 552 Dumbbells are a favorite with people who do the P90X workout routine. Now you can easily switch between weights while you get ready for the next exercise. No more stopping to grab a whole new set of weights. It has become so popular for people that workout at home because it does not take up space and you can still get the workout you want.
